Devin McCourty: Win Or Go Home, Thats It

(NECN/CSN) – Gillette Stadium has been very unfriendly to the Houston Texas in two trips to Foxborough, Mass. The Patriots demolished the Texans by a combined score of 82-21.

The stakes have never been higher than they’ll be on January 13. The winner will go to the AFC championship game. Houston is looking for its first ever trip to the AFC conference title game. New England is shooting for its ninth AFC championship game and seventh in 12 seasons.

“This is what you play for. These are the games we want to be in,” said 5-time pro bowler Logan Mankins. “It’s always easy to go to practice when you’re preparing for a game like this. It makes it nice. You want to get better, you want to prepare and do your best in these games.”

“When you talk about, you know, win or go home, you know, that’s it,” said Devin McCourty who has 14 interceptions in three seasons. “Guys have more energy, and I think the sense of urgency is there, you know, guys are hyped, guys are ready to go.”
