(NECN) - David Ortiz has agreed to a one-year contract extension with the Boston Red Sox, confirms CSNNE's Sean McAdam.
The deal is worth $16 million in 2015, a $1 million raise over his salary this season.
The 38-year-old DH was entering the final year of a two-year, $29 million deal. The first year of that contract was memorable; he capped it off by being named World Series MVP.
