Three New England teams made it into the NCAA men's basketball tournament, which began this week.
Northeastern University, a 14th seed, lost a nail-biter to 3rd seed Notre Dame on Thursday afternoon. The Huskies had a chance to tie the game on its final possession, but failed to get off a shot and wound up losing by a 69-65 score.
Harvard, a 13th seed, played 4 seed North Carolina at 7:20 p.m. Harvard took an initial lead, but couldn't hold on to it. They lost 67-65.
Providence College, a 6th seed, is scheduled to play 11th seed Dayton at 9:57 p.m. on Friday.
