New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady got emotional on Wednesday when he was asked about his recent contract renegotiation, according to Comcast SportsNet New England's Tom E. Curran.
The contract tweak gave the team some needed space under the salary cap that it can use to sign other players this off-season.
Brady said Wednesday that it's been a "privilege" to play in New England, and he hopes to finish his career here.
"I can only make personal decisions, things that really work for me and what I think is most important in my life," Brady said of his congract restructuring. "The most important thing for me is winning. I've been very fortunate to be part of a team that's been able to do that."
