Parts of southern Vermont could see two feet of snow by the time this week’s slow-moving storm wraps up Tuesday. The towns reporting the highest totals were through the Route 9 corridor and along the Massachusetts border, including Readsboro, Woodford, and Wilmington.

Boarding School Makes Offer on Closed Vermont College
A private boarding school in New Hampshire has made a bid to buy a closed Vermont college. The Bennington Banner reports that the head of Oliverian School in Pike, New Hampshire, and the board chairman of the former Southern Vermont College, confirmed Friday that that the private school has offered $4.9 million for the 371-campus and buildings in Bennington.

Massachusetts Man Dies in Vermont Snowmobile Crash
A Massachusetts man has died in a snowmobile crash in southern Vermont. Winhall police say 48-year-old Steven Jenks of Shelburne, Massachusetts, was traveling with a group of snowmobilers Tuesday evening when he lost control of his snowmobile, went off the trail and hit a tree.
