(Photo: Attitash Resort, NH by Laura Tuveson) New England's Ski Country came alive Wednesday morning as a heavy, wet snow - perfect to serve as a base snow for trails - plastered the North Country. This snow led to power outages for tens of thousands of customers in New Hampshire and Maine, but leaves winter sports enthusiasts smiling from ear to ear! Farther south, soaking rain brought nearly three inches of rain to a few communities, while coastlines saw battering waves splashing over sea walls and pockets of minor coastal flooding.
