Tracking the Tropics: Tropical Wave Emerges Off of Africa, Looking Organized

As New England marks 19 years to the day since Hurricane Bob, Meteorologist Matt Noyes says the tropical wave of thunderstorms he's been tracking across the Sahara has emerged off the coast of Africa, and already looks organized.

Interested in a scientific, technical analysis?  Matt explains why the same tropical wave may be a Depression by this weekend on his personal webpage.

Matt is also issuing daily informational bits on New England hurricane history, to give our community a better understanding of what hurricanes have already done here at home in our past, and what will happen again in our future, when a major storm strikes.  You can get these updates by following Matt on Twitter, or becoming a Fan on Facebook.
