(NECN) – Tracking the tropics with Matt Noyes says things are picking up. There are a lot of tropical waves coming across, but we have yet to see a hurricane yet this season. There is a record for the most named waves without developing into a hurricane.
There is an impressive symmetric structure for one wave but there is still no circulation center yet as this deep thunderstorm struggles to survive.
Another strong tropical wave is a strong thunderstorm that may develop in several days but wind shear aloft and dry Saharan air are prohibiting development.
