Tracking the Tropics With Matt Noyes
(NECN: Matt Noyes) – There is one disturbance heading for Central America that may already be a tropical depression; it may be named a tropical storm tomorrow. Hurricane Hunter Mission had to be recalled due to mechanical issues with the plane, which is why they don’t know yet.
There is invest area 97L being watched by the hurricane center. It is still embedded in wind shear and Saharan air, both of which are still prohibiting its development. It is forecasted to develop slowly into a tropical storm, and its pattern means the U.S. should watch it closely.
Invest area 98L is the latest in a parade of strong tropical waves. There is some development possible with this one in the next few days.
