Feel of Florida for Christmas

The same storm responsible for the southern tornadoes is sending the feel of Florida to New England.

Wind from the north is shifting and increasing from the south. Wind may gust past 50 mph Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Heavy rain and a Thunderstorm over night may cause localized flooding.

Christmas Day features sunshine for most, with warm air in the morning, and mild air for the afternoon.

In far northern Vermont to western Maine we may have a few inches of snow on the mountain tops by evening.

Friday and Saturday look mild and dry thanks to high pressure to our south.

A cold front Saturday night begins our return to seasonable chill.

The early outlook for New Year's is much colder with the threat for one or two Nor'easters. Most likely timing on Storms is Monday Night and again New Year's Eve.

Below normal temperatures are likely the first few days of 2015.
