Showers Arrive With Warm-up

Skies will remain mostly cloudy Thursday, with a few spot showers from time to time, but much of the day will be dry. Temperatures will be in the low to middle 50s.

Late in the day and Thursday night, a strong southerly and southwesterly wind ramps up. That will keep our temperatures in the 50s overnight with still a few spot showers and some patchy fog.

Friday will be warm and windy, with highs around 70 despite mainly cloudy skies. We’ll again have a few spot showers, which will be a bit more numerous during the afternoon.

Waves of heavy rain will arrive across New England Friday night into Saturday. Right now it looks like the rain will be most widespread in parts of Connecticut, western and central Massachusetts, as well as Vermont and New Hampshire. This is where the risk of street and river flooding is highest. Most spots see 1-to-2-inches of rain.

Later in the day, the rain will slide off towards the east. Temperatures will be in the 60s.

Easter Sunday still likely dawns with clouds and some early showers before we tend to dry out and find some clearing during the afternoon. We’ll again be a bit above average, in the 60s.

We still can’t shake a few clouds and showers early in the week, but temperatures should still be warmer than normal.
