FIRST ALERT: Back to 90 Degrees as Humidity, Heat Return

This next stretch of heat won’t be as hot as the weather we had from the 19th through the 21st, but in some cases, it will be dangerously hot.

In Boston, Sunday marked the 9th time we've reached at or above 90 degrees. We will be adding another two to that list Monday and Tuesday.

Our pattern will be rather active over the next few days. The last heat wave was mainly dry, but this round of heat will feature afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

All storms will produce locally heavy rain but one or two storms could become severe with damaging wind gusts.

On Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms will be a bit more widespread. Because of that, temperatures will hold in the upper 80s but it will be equally as humid.

Our rain chances will decrease Thursday through Sunday.
