We had some flurries flying today, partly cloudy skies, brutal wind chills and cold temperatures.
Snow showers amounted to a dusting across North Great Barrington, Massachusetts to 5.5 inches across Amity, Maine from the last 24 hours. Snow lingers across the mountains through early evening then everyone dries off tonight.
The wind slowly diminishes tonight, but temperatures will fall to the teens north and to the 20s south. A slight breeze will make the wind chills around 10 degrees.
Saturday afternoon will be just as cold as today, but lack of a wind will make it feel milder. We stay mostly sunny to start the weekend.
Sunday there will be a few more clouds and a southwest breeze which will help to boost temperatures to around 50 degrees. A few showers or sprinkles will cross over the Cape and the islands Saturday night into Sunday morning too.
Another storm will affect us late Monday through possibly early Wednesday.

Tuesday will be the day with the most precipitation. Northern New England looks to receive snow, while southern New England will see rain again with a brief chance for a rain to snow changeover as the cold front moves out sometime Tuesday into Wednesday.
The timing and specific precipitation types for different locations are still uncertain, but we will iron out the details as the weekend goes by. After this system moves through, our high temperatures will fall into the 30s again for mid-week as a second arctic, possibly colder, airmass settles in.
