Drier, More Refreshing Air Moving in, Rain Returns Friday

There will be another period of rain in parts of New England the first part of Friday

Whereas yesterday's air in New England was from Florida, a front from Canada will bring much drier air from Canada today.

Heavy rain, lightning, and wind damage with Wednesday night's front has now weakened and moved offshore.

Much cooler, more refreshing air will take hold Thursday. Highs will be in the 60s to near 70 with a mix of sun and clouds.

That front stalled south of New England with a wave of low pressure pulling it back to the north Thursday night.

There will be another period of rain in parts of central and southern New England the first part of Friday, but then we should be in good shape.

Overall the weekend looks nice with highs in the 60s to near 70.

There may be a spot shower in parts of Northern New England on Saturday, but that would be isolated and rather insignificant.
