We had a glorious Wednesday with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 60s and 50s on the coast.
Tonight, as a Canadian high settles in, we will not have many clouds to trap in the daytime heat. This means temperatures will lower a tad more than usual thanks to radiational cooling. Lows around freezing are expected across northern New England, 30s to 40s farther south.
Dry air remains in place tonight through Thursday. A warm front doesn't move in until Friday morning, so we avoid the scattered shower chance until then. Clouds will increase for our Thursday with highs in the 60s inland, and the 50s on the coast.
Friday will be rainy and cool with highs in the 50s for everyone. The showers taper off Saturday morning across southern New England, and drier air returns Saturday afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s once we break out in sunshine.
Mother's Day will begin dry, with showers heading our way in the afternoon. The timing is still a bit tricky, so stay tuned for updates. Highs may be a touch cooler in the 50s with more clouds expected early in the day.
