    (Published Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019)

Frost Advisories and Freeze Warnings are posted for some of northern New England and parts of western Massachusetts tonight.

Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s in far northern New England, to the mid-30s. Temperatures will be in the low 30s across western Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Downeast Maine.

We'll see lows in the 40s to near 50 across southern New England, so we're not expecting frost in Boston, Providence or Hartford tonight.

After the frosty start for some on Thursday, our highs will reach the upper 60s to low 70s with plenty of sunshine. Our warming trend continues through the weekend.

Highs on Friday will be in the 70s to near 80 degrees and again nice and sunny.

Saturday and Sunday will bring us some summer heat for the last official weekend of astronomical summer. We keep the forecast dry both days too.

If you are heading to the beach on any of the next few days, beware of a high rip current risk due to Humberto passing by. Friday will bring us the largest wave heights between 6 and 12 feet, with the seas calming down a bit by Saturday.

Our next chance for rain will be when fall begins on Monday, and after highs hit the 80s again. Temperatures cool to the 70s and drier air returns for mid week next week.
