A tropical air mass associated with the now remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy will surge out ahead of an approaching cold front located across the Great Lakes on Friday.

An increasingly warm and humid day is on tap across New England as a result. Highs crest into the 80s, feeling close to 90 degrees across the south. Expecting increasing clouds with the threat of showers and thunderstorms toward the evening.

Mostly cloudy and humid Friday night with lows near 70 degrees south, low 60s north. Some showers and storms linger. Main threats with any storms will be heavy rain, frequent lightning and minor urban street flooding with a chance of gusty winds and small hail.

Showers under humid, tropical air mass hangs tough into the first half of Saturday as post-Cindy moisture plume interacts with a cold front traversing across the region during the afternoon. Low clouds and fog will develop and remain along the coast.

Highs on Saturday reach into the mid 80s south and near 80 degrees across the north. Cold front moves offshore Sunday with improving conditions. Dry air mass yields mostly sunny skies with some fair weather clouds. A few showers may develop across interior New England.

Highs reach into the low to mid 80s. Noticeably cooler and more comfortable. We move into a cooler pattern into next week as an upper-level trough sets up across the Northeast.

Partly sunny skies are on tap for Tuesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing as the atmosphere becomes destabilized with late-June sun.

An area of high pressure noses into the region from the South on Wednesday, building a warming return flow into New England. Expecting a mostly sunny day with highs reaching into the 80s.
