Humidity Finally Dropping in New England

After days of brutal humidity, we finally get a brief window of relief in New England.

Humidity is slowly dropping from west to east across New England Thursday night, with lows falling back into the 60s and 70s. Any lingering downpours and storms will also fizzle.

Friday is the pick of the next several days, with a good deal of sunshine and comfortable humidity levels. Highs will still be well above average, though, reaching the 80s.

Then, a wobbling front leaves us unsettled heading into the weekend. The most sun, and the lowest risk of rain, will certainly be found in northern New England. In southern New England, hit-and-miss rounds of rain will come through.

On Saturday, the rain will be most widespread in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. It's unlikely to be raining all day in any one spot, but you should certainly have back up plans for outdoor activities.

Highs will be far cooler thanks to an onshore wind. We'll only be in the 70s.

Sunday looks to be a little bit better, with fewer rounds of rain. But like Saturday, the showers that we do see will be mostly in southern New England, with more sun and a lower rain chance in the lakes and mountains of northern New England. Highs again will be in the 70s to near 80.

Humidity creeps back in with 80s and occasional storm chances next week.
