Mild Memorial Day Weekend

Some storms are possible in Northern and Western New England on Saturday, but elsewhere remains dry

Beautiful sunshine on Saturday will allow our temperatures to soar into the 70s across New England, setting us up with what will be a great long weekend in terms of weather.

Clouds will increase Saturday afternoon in Northern and Western New England, before a few pop up showers or storms develop. We’ll stay dry well into the evening in Southern New England.

The showers and storms will slide farther south, towards places like Worcester, Boston and the Cape, overnight with temperatures holding in the 50s to near 60.

If you’re up early on Sunday we’ll still find lots of clouds and even some early spot showers. Over the course of the day though, sun will break out and temperatures will pop into the 80s. It will even feel a touch humid.

An isolated pop up shower is possible during the afternoon, particularly in Northern New England, but most spots will stay dry.

Memorial Day Monday also looks great, with lots of sunshine and slightly cooler temperatures. We’ll be in the 60s at the coast with a sea breeze, but still expect 70s inland.

As we head back to school and work on Tuesday, clouds and showers return with highs in the 60s to near 70.

We’ll have some more showers through the rest of mid-week as temperatures work back up towards 80 by Thursday.
