While there are no big storms that will impact New England this weekend, we can’t totally escape a few rain and snow showers.
Skies will remain mostly cloudy both Saturday and Sunday as a disturbance drops south out of Canada. That will trigger light, scattered rain and snow showers both days as well. It certainly will not be raining or snowing all weekend in any location—these will be passing showers. Still, a quick dusting is possible on grassy surfaces when it does snow.
Temperatures on Saturday will be near 40, with highs slipping into the 30s by Sunday. Winds will also be stronger on Sunday, helping to enhance a bit of the precipitation with a little "ocean effect."
High pressure then builds in late Sunday into Monday. That means the work week will start off on a bright note, with highs still cool. We’ll be around 40.
After that the jet stream reconfigures and slightly warmer air begins to arrive. Highs by the middle and end of the week will likely approach, or reach into, the 50s.
A few rain showers are also likely by that time, especially on Friday when the rain may be a bit steadier.
