Northeast Airports Prepare for Winter Storm

Air travelers at most east coast airports, including Boston’s Logan Airport, should know they have the option to rebook their flight without additional costs

Airlines in the northeast are trying to be proactive by reducing the amount of delays and cancellations that could come with this weekend’s storm.

Air travelers at most east coast airports, including Boston’s Logan Airport, should know they have the option to rebook their flight without additional costs.

That's what passenger Laquita Myles is doing. She wanted to make it home to Ohio before the storm.

"I just rebooked my flight because I knew the storm was coming. And I didn’t want to get stuck, you know, the big storm from last year. So I don’t want to be here when that comes," Myles said.

Airlines vary in their offerings, but they're willing to work with people flying to and from airports in the path of the storm. That includes travel from Friday to Sunday. Depending on the airline, the change can be done easily.

If your travel plans are flexible, it's a way for you to prevent winter from getting the best of your trip.
