Not Quite Spring Weather Yet: Chilly Temps Lingering

Fresh snowpack and lower than normal temperatures will start your Tuesday. Afternoon sunshine will help to melt more of the snow, as highs will be a few degrees cooler than Monday, in the low to mid-30s.

Overnight lows the next couple nights will be in the single digits and highs will only be in the 20s. We have a very wintry-feel to our first full week of meteorological spring.

Temperatures modify for Friday as we return to the mid-30s and more warmth is on the way for the weekend into next week. A couple of disturbances may trigger a few flurries or snow showers, especially on Wednesday as reinforced cold air returns to the northeast.

High pressure continues to build in, keeping any big storms away from us, until the end of the weekend.

Saturday night, we spring ahead one hour for Daylight Saving Time. Highs go from the low 40s Saturday to the mid-40s Sunday. Sunday into Monday, a low-pressure system moves in from the midwest and will bring mainly rain.

Temps continue to rise into the low 50s Monday as the system moves out. Then highs stay in the low 40s Tuesday and Wednesday with more sun, and back in the low 50s Thursday with rain chances.

Feeling more like spring for the second week of March!
