Snow Arrives Sunday Night, Making White Christmas Possible for Some

Back to reality!

Although high temperatures reached the 50s Saturday, it got much colder as the day went on. A cold front moved through with some gusty westerly winds. Temperatures tumbled into the 30s and 40s. As wind ease overnight Saturday and skies clear out, temperatures will fall back into the 10s and 20s.

Temperatures will reach the mid 30s by Christmas Eve afternoon, which should melt most of the snow. If we stay cold enough, a few locations may keep enough snow to have a White Christmas.

Christmas day will be dry and seasonably chilly. Temperatures will range from the mid 20s in northern New England to the mid 30s in central and southern New England.

Friday looks warmer and wet. Temperatures look to climb into the 40s once again. Saturday is drier, but still mild. Sunday looks cold and dry.

Monday and Tuesday of the following week look chilly and perhaps snowy. At this point, it’s too early to tell if it will have any impacts on your New Year’s Eve plans.
