Snow squalls passing through New England Tuesday evening brought blizzard-like conditions across the region for short periods of time.
Squalls entered Connecticut in the afternoon. Footage from NBC Connecticut showed heavy snow in Meriden. The storms continued moving eastward, approaching Greater Boston in the early evening.
As the snow squalls ended, temperatures began to plunge in New England.
Fire officials in Norwell, Massachusetts, said power was out in the area after a large tree brought wires down on River Street. The Norwell Fire Department said National Grid had been asked to respond.
Earlier Wednesday, squalls in Pennsylvania led to a 27-vehicle crash.
