Our temperatures remain refreshing today with highs in the 70s inland, in the upper 60s on the coast thanks to onshore wind.
We continue to have a moderate to high rip current risk on the coastline due to a storm in the North Atlantic, and a persistent onshore wind. Wave heights will be 4-6 feet near the shore, 5-8 feet offshore, and will lower a bit tonight as the wind turns more south.
A disturbance off the Carolinas will continue to head towards us and will ramp up our waves and surf through mid-week. It's something we will watch as our high tides will be a tad higher as we end the week.
Tonight our lows drop into the 40s and 50s again. A few more clouds will move in for Tuesday, but due to the wind shift, we will warm to the mid-70s even at the coast.
Wednesday into Thursday we're tracking scattered showers and storms along a cold front. Our temperatures continue to gradually warm for mid-week, reaching the mid-80s by Thursday or Friday.
As we head into the Labor Day weekend, we cool just a tad for Saturday into Sunday. Light showers are possible Sunday into Monday, but we're not expecting a washout at this time. Highs will be in the 70s again as we enter into the following week.
