Storms to Bring More Hail Sunday

A chilly pocket of air passing high above New England on Sunday will trigger another round of thunderstorms, many of which will likely produce hail.

Sunday will start quiet with some sunshine, but those storms will develop as early as mid to late morning, especially in Northern New England. The storms will then drop south later in the day.

The risk of strong to severe storms will be highest from 10 a.m. -4 p.m. In addition to hail, the storms will produce heavy rain and lightning.

At night the storms and rain will move out, as less humid air works in.

That will set us up for a beautiful Monday, with lots of sunshine and low humidity. Highs in the 70s to around 80.

A few showers or downpours may swing through early on Tuesday, with highs in the 80s after that, but the mid-week timeframe looks great for July 4th! Expect building humidity, and warming temperatures as highs climb into the 80s.
