Stray Storms This Weekend as Favorable Weather Continues

Beautiful weather continues across New England, with just a few stray downpours and storms this weekend.

Sunshine Friday will be dimmed at times by some more Canadian wildfire smoke wafting through New England, but highs will still reach into the 80s inland as a few puffy clouds bubble up. At the coast, a sea breeze will keep temperatures in the 70s to near 80.

Expect partly cloudy skies and lows mostly in the 60s overnight.

Saturday will bring more sunshine and another sea breeze. That means the beaches will be in the 70s to around 80, with 80s farther inland. Where that east wind hits the higher terrain of western New England, from the Green Mountains down to the Berkshires and Litchfield Hills, expect a few isolated downpours or storms to develop during the afternoon. It will also be a touch more humid.

Humidity continues to build on Sunday, with highs in the 80s and even near 90 in some cases. As a front slowly approaches, a few more spotty downpours or storms will develop during the afternoon in Northern New England.

Hazy, hot, and humid weather continues Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 90s. Spot downpours and storms will stay north and west of Boston, as we see it now, but then a front does slide south for mid-week. That will increase the risk of downpours closer to Boston at that point, and it will bring our temperatures back down into the low 80s, which is closer to average.
