Waves of low pressure rippling along the front stalled near New England bring us a wide variety of weather this weekend, mostly on the warmer side.
This morning we start off with patchy fog and clouds in southern and western New England along what was a cold front yesterday as it moved south, and is now a warm front moving back to the north.
Where we have cold air this morning in far northern New England, the clouds will advance with a light wintry mix possible of rain and snow. In southern and western New England where we have thicker clouds, it should brighten up and temperatures may jump to close to 70 degrees away from the ocean.
The high temperature will be in the 40s well north, but most of us are in the 50s to mid-60s.
Wind from the southeast comes around more from the south, and increases to 20 to 25 miles per hour this afternoon, that keeps the south facing shorelines colder.
Tonight should be mostly mild for the season, and dry. A wave of low pressure will move across New York late tonight and early tomorrow morning. A cold front will advance from northwest southeast tomorrow. So we start off our Sunday dry in eastern New England with some sunshine, and rain in Western New England.

Rain may change to snow in the morning in northern Vermont. The whole north to south oriented band of precipitation will progress to the east with rain by midday for areas along Interstate 95 from Rhode Island to Maine.
Ahead of the front, anywhere with sunshine the temperature should jump well into the 60s, before cooling dramatically as the rain moves in. The weather will dry out as the sun goes down, however a few lingering snow flurries are possible just about anywhere ss the temperature goes down below freezing at night.
High pressure from Canada should bring us sunshine for April Fool's Day on Monday, though it will be much colder with the high temperature in the 40s south, and 30s north.
After the cold start Tuesday, we should have a good amount of sunshine with a high temperature back into the 40s to low 50s.
Along the south end of that front it pushes offshore tomorrow, a storm will be forming east of Florida and moving almost due north.
It’ll become a powerful gale center and may clip eastern New England Wednesday.
