Tewksbury Hits Snow Jackpot in Massachusetts

Winter is upon us, especially in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, where residents woke up to more than seven inches of snow.

It took Julie Meneguzzi by surprise.

"I haven't covered the wood pile, haven't brought grill in yet, I haven't finished raking the leaves," she said, laughing.

And Meneguzzi wasn't the only one. Drivers were pouring into Town Fair Tire for their snow tires after the first snowfall.

"I'm driving a Civic with front wheel drive. You need everything you can to help you out," said Tyler Ham as he waited for his tires to be put on his car.

The employees were so busy they couldn't even allow NBC10 Boston into their garage to get video.

"The guys are great out back, they work as hard as they possibly can to try and get people in and out," said manager Tyler Schofield. "It's all hands on deck."

It was a long day for mechanics, and also for car salesmen at Atamian Honda. After every storm, they have to clear about 500 cars in time for the start of business.

"I'm soaked from top to bottom, but at the end of the day, people got to buy some cars and I got to work," said senior salesman Vinny Alagna.

His colleague, Jim Tringale, says after 25 years on the job, he's found the magic tool to clean off the cars.

"It's called a 'one-second clean-off.' Bang, bang and it's clean," Tringale said as he used a foam car brush to wipe the snow from the roof of a car.

They say you can get one of those "magic tools" from any automotive store.
