Saturday Is the Pick of the Weekend, Touch of Fall in the Air

Sunday brings more clouds and spot showers

A touch of fall is certainly in the air this weekend as we enjoy low humidity and cooler temperatures.

A few clouds will move in this afternoon near the coast while bright sun will prevail inland. Highs Saturday will be in the 70s with a northeast wind keeping coastal towns near 70.

Saturday night, some clouds move into southern New England with clear skies north, another perfect night to open the windows and give the A/C a break. Lows will drop into the 40s and 50s north, 50s and 60s south.

Sunday brings more clouds and a spot shower over Southeastern Massachussetss and Rhode Island, though most of the day will be dry, especially north and west of Boston.

As high pressure moves east, the pressure gradient will increase, leaving windy conditions across the South Coast, Cape Cod and the Islands where a small craft advisory is in effect Sunday morning until 6 a.m. Monday.

Temperatures Sunday will be a touch cooler due to the stiff NE wind, anywhere between 66 (near the coast) to 75 degrees away from the ocean. Our weather will be pretty much copy and paste Monday, with a blend of clouds and sun, a spot shower and cooler near the water.

By Wednesday, we will be keeping a close eye on a possible tropical entity that will pass south of Nantucket and a front coming in from the west.

Our 10-Day First Alert Forecast now includes Labor Day weekend which features a mostly sunny sky both Saturday and Sunday with a chance for a stray shower on the holiday itself.
