Unsettled Weekend, Wet Weather for Various New England States

While New England enjoys sunshine and a break from humidity Friday, an unsettled weekend is on tap. That’s why Friday is the pick of the next several days. Highs will still be well above average though, reaching the 80s.

A wobbling front leaves us with some wet weather heading into the weekend. The most sun, and the lowest risk of rain, will certainly be found in Northern New England. In Southern New England, hit and miss rounds of rain will come through.

On Saturday, the rain will be most widespread in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. It’s unlikely to be raining all day in any one spot, but you should certainly have back up plans for outdoor activities.

Highs will be far cooler thanks to an onshore wind. We’ll only be in the 70s.

Sunday looks to be a little bit better, with fewer rounds of rain. But like Saturday the showers that we do see will be mostly in Southern New England with more sun and a lower rain chance in the lakes and mountains of Northern New England. Highs again in the 70s to near 80.

Humidity creeps back in with the 80s and occasional storm chances next week.
