A yearlong project in Southern Vermont just wrapped up, and has a beautiful payoff.

Each week in 2018 Jennifer Hannux took a picture, or several pictures, from her backyard in Hartland, Vermont.

Now, as the year comes to a close, she took the time to stich the pictures together, producing a gorgeous timelapse showing a year’s worth of weather in the Green Mountain State.

The video shows snow falling and melting, trees gaining and losing leaves, and stunning sunrise color over Mount Ascutney.

On Sunday night, the moon, Earth and sun lined up to create an eclipse, which was visible throughout North and South America, where skies were clear. It was also the year's first supermoon, when a full moon appears a little bigger and brighter. (This video does not have audio)

Hannux says she hopes to continue the project into 2019.
