Warm Day for Patriots Parade After Possible Passing Shower

Boston is gearing up for the Patriots victory parade Tuesday morning and the team brought the warm temperatures back with them!

Monday's highs were near record territory in many spots. Tonight we fall to lows in the upper 30s and low 40s.

We stay mild through Tuesday as highs will be in the upper 50s again. Cape Cod, the islands, and south coast will be cooler thanks to the south, southwest wind, around 50. There will be more clouds on Tuesday than sunshine. There is also a brief chance for a passing shower in the morning, otherwise a dry day. The weather cooperates for the Patriots parade so enjoy the spring-like temperatures!

Back to reality on Wednesday and Thursday after a cold front moves through. Highs fall back into the mid to upper 30s, but it will be seasonable. A stationary front to our south slowly lifts north on Wednesday night as a warm front, but also bringing a wintry mix chance through Thursday morning. Light freezing rain and/or sleet will be possible from Boston, to areas north and west and into higher elevations, changing to rain late Thursday morning and afternoon.

Light snow will be possible across the mountains. Another front lifts north through Thursday night, bringing in highs in the low 50s again Friday and scattered rain.

We cool off and dry out for the weekend, with highs around 30 both days.

Next Monday an area of low pressure passes south of New England. We could be in a position for light snow unless the track changes a bit. Tuesday into Wednesday highs stay in the mid-30s and another low-pressure system will bring a wintry mix across the northeast.
