The clouds will increase overnight Monday night and the seabreeze will relax.

Overnight lows stay in the 70s to 60s thanks to the cloud-cover. A weak system moves through Monday night, bringing the clouds and a chance for a shower across Maine.

Tuesday morning clouds depart and we gear up for another summer day. By afternoon we will have a west wind allowing for warmer temps in the 80s, even along the coast. There’s a chance for a pop up shower in the mountains, but otherwise we remain dry.

Humidity builds for the mid-week forecast, so more clouds are expected Wednesday through the end of the week. There is a slim chance for a pop-up shower or storm in the heat of the afternoon and across the interior.

The 4th of July will be gorgeous with summer heat and humidity, and a slight chance for a pop-up storm. The exclusive NBC10 Boston precipitation chance only has about a 5-15% chance, with the higher chance for rain in western New England.

Upper-level disturbances move through Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A cold front will move through Saturday into Sunday. This means that all three days we have a chance for scattered rain and thunderstorms. As soon as the cold front moves through Sunday, then direr air will return.

This is reflected in our 10-day forecast for the start to next week.
