Warming Trend Returns to Weekend

A warm front going by to our north is causing a warmer breeze to come in from the southwest but also resulting in a few snow showers in far northern Maine. Otherwise, we are all on the warmer side of the front and it is not as cold as last night, low temperature in the 30s to near 40 degrees south, 30s north.

We have a nice looking Saturday with high-pressure to our east, wind should be from the south 10 to 15 mph, with sunshine for most of the day. A cold front moving in from northern New York and southern Canada will generate clouds in western and northern New England, with a chance of a shower north before the end of the day.

That front crosses New England tomorrow night with clouds and temperatures remaining at or above freezing until Sunday morning.

Sunday features a changeable sky with sunshine mixing with clouds, a chance for a few snow or rain showers just about anywhere. Temperatures in the 40s south, 30s north and trending down during the afternoon.

The Patriots game looks brisk with temperatures falling into the lower 40s, with the wind from the northwest gusting past 20 mph.

A few snow flurries a possible later Sunday and early Monday as an additional cold front moves by.

The coldest weather the next 10 days looks like Monday into Tuesday morning, with mostly sunny skies high temperature near 40 degrees on Monday, and then into the lower 40s on Tuesday.

Wednesday and Thursday look warmer next week with a high temperature back in the 50s, a front comes in during Thursday with a chance of rain, or some mountain snow Thursday night into Friday.
