Will Snow Fall in New England This Weekend?

Saturday is looking like a classic fall day in New England. High pressure will be the dominant feature throughout the day bringing dry conditions with intervals of clouds and sunshine.

It will be cool however, with highs only topping out in the 40s for most. Saturday night, low pressure moving west and north through the Great Lakes will drive a cold front through New England.

This will trigger a few rain showers and some light accumulating snowfall across the higher-elevation north during the morning hours. A few flurries could also mix in the Berkshires and the Worcester hills, but accumulation is not expected.

During the afternoon on Sunday, a secondary low passing southeast of our area could bring another period of rain for Cape Cod and the islands.

Another high pressure system will Build south of New England Sunday night through Monday and bring cool but near normal temperatures to the region.
