Conn. Governor Activates Emergency Operations Center

(NECN/WTNH) - Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy holds a news conference with key commissioners to discuss the current winter storm and the state's actions to prepare and respond.

Malloy has activated the state's Emergency Operations Center in response to the storm.

Forecasters are calling for a wintry mix of snow, ice, sleet and rain. Nearly two feet of snow could fall on the state through early Thursday.

Conditions could make driving dangerous, cause power outages and put more stress on already overloaded roofs.
