FEMA Officials Survey Flood Damage Across Massachusetts

(NECN: Brad Puffer, Clinton, Mass.) - Three days after the torrential rains stopped, homes still remain surrounded by deep water. Today, FEMA officials are surveying the damage to determine if the federal government will provide help.

Disaster assessment teams are spread out across Massachusetts.

It was the Nashua River that went over its banks late Monday night in Clinton.

Cars and collectibles have been destroyed by water.

Many neighborhoods are still without power.

It could take days to get all of the information and weeks to determine if this can be declared a federal disaster area.
