(NECN: Kristen Caira, Scituate, Mass.) - Powerful ocean waves flooded streets yesterday and about a dozen families had to be evacuated from their homes in Scituate, Massachusetts.
The situation was made even more dangerous when fire crews were forced to wade through the floodwaters to try and pout out two house fires.
Officials are assessing the damage today and expect this to be a major financial burden for the coastal community.
