(NECN) – Meteorologist Nelly Carreno is tracking thunderstorms across New England. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 3 p.m. for Suffolk County, parts of Norfolk County and Middlesex County. This is due to a line of thunderstorms that is slowly moving east. It is dropping an inch to inch-and-a-half of precipitation as it moves through the area.
The Flash Flood Warning was issued for: Southeastern Middlesex County in northeast Massachusetts; Suffolk County in eastern Massachusetts; Northern Norfolk County in eastern Massachusetts.
It is in effect until 3 p.m.
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include: Boston, Cambridge, Newton, Somerville, Brookline, Medford. Watertown, Needham, Norwood, Westwood, Dedham, Dover. Mattapan and Brighton.
