(NECN: Framingham, Mass.) - The National Weather Service is forecasting up to seven inches of rain in Massachusetts during this latest storm.
Because the ground in saturated following the storms the Bay State has seen over the past couple of weeks, officials are predicting rivers to overflow.
Governor Deval Patrick has declared a statewide emergency.
Residents of flood zones should closely monitor the storm and prepare for the possibility to evacuate immediately. There are no calls to evacuate at this time.
Those who need to travel over the next couple of days are advised to use public transportation, when possible. If you must drive, you are cautioned to take your time.
The water has put out the traffic light on Storrow Drive at Cambridge Street in Boston.
