(NECN) - Sigh of relief for those who live and must travel by Shawsheen River in Wilmington, Massachusetts. New reports from the National Weather Service say its not being considered a minor flooding event instead of a major one as reported earlier today.
(NECN) - Eyes are on the swelling Shawsheen River in Wilmington, Massachusetts which is expected to crest at 7 feet today at 8 a.m. Moderate flooding is not expected until tomorrow when the river is expected to reach 9 feet, 2 inches.
Large puddles on the road are creating hazardous driving conditions and there are concerns for basement in flooding.
Moderate river flooding expected including:
Housatanic, Farmington, CT
Mettawee, Middle Grainville, VT
Blackstone, Woonsocket, RI
Assabet, Shawsheen, N. Nashua
Major concern about CT Housatonic River at Stevenson dam which could reach flood range later this morning
