MEMA: Flood Dangers Continue Through Next Week

(NECN) - In Massachusetts, the National Guard has mobilized to help the state deal with the flooding emergency. Between 700 and 1,000 soldiers and airmen are filling and moving sandbags to major roads networks.

Joining NECN for a discussion is Peter Judge, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.

Peter says the immediate concerns are in the southeastern part of the state, in communities such as Fall River and Freetown.

Peter says that when the rain stops, the danger is not over, as rivers will remain at flood stage until next week.
