Maine Faces Flooding Threat as Spring Approaches

(NECN: Marnie MacLean) - With the warmth of spring comes some danger for many areas of New England. That danger could be damaging floods.

The area around the Kennebec River in Maine is one of those areas, and with a frozen river, and a deep snowpack, the situation could get worse.

Emergency management officials met to talk about the threat of spring flooding in Maine.  Their immediate concern is the forecast in the next five days....which includes heavy rain and temperatures that could approach 50 degrees.
