Many New England Communities Are Over Half a Foot Above Normal for Rain Over Past 30 Days

It's wet!  All New Englanders know that.  It's rather remarkable just HOW wet some of New England has been.

In Boston, the city is already ranking 4th wettest June on record:

  • 13.20" in 1982
  • 11.59" in 1998
  • 10.09" in 2006
  • 9.42" in 2013 (so far)
  • 9.13" in 1931

Check out this map of rainfall departure over the last 30 days - in other words, how much above normal our precipitation has been...the purple indicates 8-10" above normal rainfall!
