(NECN) - Meteorologist Matt Noyes explains that the earthquake's epicenter was near Mineral, Virginia, and was a magnitude 5.8 earthquake.
He also says that Hurricane Irene is progressing as it moves across the Caribbean, with 100 mph winds. Irene is expected to be a Category 3 hurricane by the time it reaches the U.S.
