(NECN/CNN) - Emergency authorities in Tennessee say the death toll from weekend flooding has risen with the discovery of a man's body in a field in the west of the state. Flooding has been blamed for at least 19 deaths in the state.
The water is slowly receding in Nashville, where nine of the deaths and most of the damage occurred.
The city's chief of police says officers and firefighters will go through neighborhoods to make sure they're safe for homeowners to return.
