NSTAR Works to Restore Power for 12K on Cape Cod

(UPDATE: 2/16/14. 4:30 p.m.)- 3,936 NStar customers remain without power in Mass.

(UPDATE: 2/16/14. 10:45 a.m.) - 8,515 customers still without power across Mass.

(UPDATE: 2/16/14. 9:00 a.m.) - 9,381 customers still without power across Mass.

(NECN) – Thousands of people lost power on Cape Cod due to the most recent winter blast, as wind whipped and about a foot of heavy snow accumulated.

Michael Durand of NSTAR updated NECN.

He said about 12,000 people lost power. The majority of those people are between Barnstable and Chatham.

He said there are extra crews working to restore power. Their goal is to restore most power by the end of the day.
