Power Outages Affect North Shore

(NECN: Kristen Caira - Gloucester, MA) - Parts of Massachusetts on Saturday are still working to restore power after destruction left over from the wild weather that hit New England.

A cemetary was torn apart in Gloucester, Massachusetts trees uprooted and scattered power outages along the North Shore.

Winds topped 87 miles per hour and tore the roof of an empty seaside motel in Gloucester.

By early Saturday, the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency reported about 24,500 people were without power statewide, mostly in the northeastern part of the state, down from a high of 100,000.
