Rain Continues to Pound Massachusetts, Flood Fears Remain

(NECN: Alison King, Lexington, Mass.) - One day after declaring a state of emergency for the entire state, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick toured some of the latest damage today.

Up to 1,000 Massachusetts National Guard members are at the ready and sand bags are being prepared to respond to flooding from the rain storm that's battering the Northeast. State officials are also monitoring 39 dams.

Governor Deval Patrick says the federal disaster declaration issued for damage caused by a storm two weeks ago may be expanded to cover any damage from this week's storm.
